About

As a leading multidisciplinary creative studio, with a track record of innovative projects within Brand Design, Brand Planning, Digital Platforms & Experiences, Creative Approaches to Design for Print and most recently Exhibition & Spatial Design. As result of several exciting projects within a number of National Museums and Institutions across the country, we are looking for an experienced freelance 3D designer / draughts person who has experience in delivering project designs/drafting for Architectural projects.

Proficiency in Autocad/Vectorworks (3D modelling an advantage) with the ability to prepare project documentation suitable for approval, tender, construction, and contract administration. Led by project directors from Field you would be expected to generate fully coordinated construction documentation sets to include drawing registers, drawings – architectural plans, sections and construction detailing and be able to liaise with other specialist consultants.

A sound knowledge of architectural detailing is must, with knowledge of relevant legislation and standards and processes an advantage.

A Creative Studio

Field are a multi-disciplinary studio based in Sheffield, England. 

We solve creative challenges for a range of clients in educational, public and third sectors. We work across brand, digital and web design, including naming and identity, visual design, moving image, and innovative approaches for print design. 

Our core studio team is made up of designers, brand planners, moving image specialists and developers. All are experts at conjuring up incredible solutions to any creative challenge.

Where will you fit in?

You will be part of the creative studio team, helping to drive and lead motion focussed projects, collaborating with 2D, 3D and spatial designers. With our recent developments into spatial environments and studio expansion into more moving image work, there is an opportunity to make your mark across a range of highly respected clients, including: The Science Museum Group, The Royal College of Art and multiple Russell Group Universities. 

What we’re looking for

• An Interest in how moving image translates to environments, spaces and non-traditional screens
• Being comfortable presenting to clients.
• Approachability and ability to work within a broader design team .
• Talent for 2D and 3D motion design
• Ability to develop original ideas and apply accordingly
• Enthusiasm for design across multiple platforms, including interactive/digital, brand, graphics and spatial.

Experience

• An excellent understanding of software appropriate to your role, including Adobe CS with a good understanding of how to link your workflow with other industry standard tools such as Cinema and Blender.
• 3+ years experience [within a studio or post production environment]

Salary
£28,000/yr to £34,000/yr dependant upon experience
